PRESS RELEASE

A DREAM COME TRUE!

A little over three years ago I had embarked on a project to acquire and restore one of our Eastern Air Lines Douglas DC-7B's. At several points in time during this period we were close to the acquisition but something would happen and the deal would fall apart. Various people around the country kept saying that the aircraft would never fly again, and to forget the dream and get back to reality. Well this is one dream that is becoming reality.

Eastern Air Lines

Legendary Airliners LLC, a fully-integrated Flight Club based out of Miami and Fort Pierce, Florida, is proud to announce the acquisition of former Eastern Air Lines DC-7B, registration N836D, from 20th Century Travel Club in St. Paul, Minnesota. Initial plans are to begin necessary restoration and maintenance on the aircraft on or about June 1st of 2004 to prepare the aircraft for ferry to it's maintenance and restoration facilities in Florida. Legendary Airliners expects to ferry the aircraft from it's current location in St. Paul to St. Lucie International Airport in Ft. Pierce, Florida by the end of August 2004. A refueling stop will be scheduled in Atlanta as a tribute to Eastern Air Lines and all of their former employees. The plan is to restore the aircraft to it's original 1958 condition with the Eastern Air Lines "Duck Hawk" paint scheme and Logo's. Legendary Airliners has been in touch with Eastern Air Lines and the Eastern Airlines Historical Foundation and will be in contact with the Eastern Airlines Retirees Association, Retired Eastern Pilots Association, The Silver Falcons, and the Silverliners, for possible help and participation with this project. The fully restored aircraft will be made available to Legendary Airliners Flight Club members and for air shows and air tours worldwide. The historical aviation significance of this project should not be underestimated. This aircraft is the last Douglas DC-7B with the original passenger interior intact known in the world.

As mentioned above Bill Hirsch is a former Eastern employee who is very much involved in restoring Eastern Aircraft ..... He asked that we put the below message about the Martin 404 out to you folks..

THE DUCKHAWK FLIES AGAIN

It seems that this year of 2004 is starting out to be an exciting year for Eastern Air Lines. As everyone knows the Martin 404 was a giant stepping stone in aviation history and for many years the aircraft served Eastern Air Lines in it's climb to greatness. But also the Martin 404 served many other airlines, companies, and celebrities during it's long life span. Surprisingly today there are about 12 Martin 404 aircraft that still exist and out of those 12 aircraft 6 are ex-Eastern. As many of you know and have seen our Martin 404 registration # N450A serial # 14141 was delivered to EAL on 01/17/52 and served EAL until 12/20/62. Aircraft N450A is owned and operated by the Mid Atlantic Air Museum and based at Reading, Pennsylvania.

On 11/13/52 EAL took delivery of Martin 404 registration # N487A serial # 14235 and it served EAL until 12/31/62. It then went through several owners over the years until it was sold to Mr. Sam Stewart on 05/02/79. In 1997 Restoration was started and by 1999 the aircraft had been restored to US Coast Guard design. In early February 2004 N487A was purchased by the group that is restoring the original Hobbie Field Terminal in Texas. N487A will be ferried from California to Galvston, Texas by the son of former EAL Captain Whitesell during the week of February 9th, 2004. At this time the aircraft will be stripped of it's US Coast Guard colors and will be restored to it's original all silver "Silver Falcon" delivery paint scheme with full authorization from Eastern Air Lines and reregistered back to it's original Eastern tail number N487A. This will now be the fourth ex-Eastern aircraft to again wear the proud Eastern Logo and Name.

This is just another big step in letting the world know that Eastern Air Lines may be down, but they will never be able to eliminate the name of Eastern Air Lines and the proudest Airline Family to ever serve the public. STAY TUNED FOR MORE EXCITING NEWS VERY SHORTLY.
